Hike through lush rice terraces, watch village life, stay overnight in Red Dao ethnic minority villages. This trip offers wonderful experiences.

Day 0 Hanoi / Overnight train to Lao Cai
We pick you up from our office from 19:00 to 19:30 for a short transfer to Hanoi railway station for boarding an overnight train bound for Lao Cai.

Day 1 Hanoi / Sapa / Thanh Kim / Sin Chai 

Upon our arrival in Lao Cai railway station in the early morning, our driver picks up up for a short drive to Sapa town, which is 35 km away by car. We have shower and breakfast in our hotel.
Following that we set off to discover Sapa and its nearby villages of Thank Kim and Thanh Phu, set in a spectacularly beautiful valley and home to Tay people.
We have ample opportunities to see how they live and give wonderful insights into their way of life.
Along the way we stop at one of the friendly villages and enjoy a picnic lunch. Finally, we arrive in the village of Sin Chai, nestled in a beautiful region.
Tonight we spend a memorable night in the traditional house of a Dao family. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included).

Day 2 Sin Chai / Suoi Thau / Sapa / Lao Cai railway station / Overnight train back to ha noi vietnam
The beautiful Sin Chai is surrounded by verdant hills and mountains.
We set off by a hike through small villages, lush rice terraces and to the villages of Suoi Thau, situated in a region of sculpted rice terraces and home to Red Dao and Black Hmong people, we continue our trek, before our transfer to the township of Sapa.
Late in the afternoon our driver brings us back to Lao Cai railway station for having dinner in a local restaurant before we board an overnight train back to Hanoi, arriving there at about 5am the following day.
The trip is completed at Hanoi railway station upon our arrival. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included).

Physical activities:
Your itinerary includes treks with:

- a 9-15 km trek on Day 1.

- a 12-16 km trek on Day 2.

A wide variety of food is commonly available in local restaurants, markets or homes, using fresh local ingredients, typical of the way people eat in the area.

We also cater for Vegetarians but please request this at time of booking.

Our experienced and friendly Tour Guides speak excellent English or French.
They are extremely knowledgeable about local cultures, history and the environment.

Accommodation:

- 2 nights on overnight trains.

- 1 night in a local home.

- $149USD per person, for a group of 2 to 6 people.

- $138USD per person, for a group of 7 to 9 people.

What to take: 

pack essentials, including light comfortable clothes suitable for outdoor activities, hiking shoes and small day pack.

It is essential to bring your passort on this trip.
